Year 5 Travel Into Space!

Year 5 had a wonderful day this week with a trip into space via the Starlight Planetarium. Pupils were treated to a fascinating show covering the sun, aurora, the Earth, the moon and the entire solar system including all eight planets, comets, dwarf planets and asteroids and more.

Pupils and staff alike loved the whole experience with many exclamations of 'wow' while they were in the space dome! Year 5 also really enjoyed looking at space artefacts as well as acting out the solar system and phases of the moon.

Thank you to all parents and carers who were able to contribute to this fantastic experience. We are also delighted to report back that Dr Mark Galloway from Starlight Stem Planetarium made a point of telling us how impressed he was with our pupils' behaviour and enthusiasm during the day.
