Storyteller in school!

'Great fun' 'such a good assembly' 'I loved it' 'can he come back in again?' 'I loved the cat and umbrella tree best'

Just a few of the lots of positive and excited comments overheard as pupils came out from their assemblies with James Campbell, storyteller and children's comedian today.

We had a great morning hosting James for his assemblies with EYFS/KS1 and KS2.  The younger pupils loved his funny stories, including the one all about the cat and the umbrella tree mentioned above by one of our Year 2 boys, they also enjoyed hearing about what you need to be a writer,

KS2 also enjoyed their assembly, amidst all the funny stuff about lollipop ladies and snow women the children were given great insight into how to write themselves, with some brilliant questions for James from our KS2 pupils.

It was particularly wonderful to see how engaged and enthusiastic the pupils were, from YF all the way up to Year 6. Well done everyone and thank you again to James.

Next week parents/carers will have the opportunity to buy one of James' books through the school, watch out for a letter with details.
