Our first Performance Poetry competition.

Today saw the finals of our first ever performance poetry competition.  Each class put forward an entry after deciding between themselves by discussion or vote from all their class entrants and today was the grand final.

We had some excellent performances of some funny poems from Michael Rosen and others; some classic poems, including ones by R L Stevenson and William Blake; and a brilliant self penned poem.  It was a very tough choice for Mrs O'Donnell and Miss Abel but they managed in the end.

Congratulations to Till in Ash Class and Bonnie, Caleb, Charles and Thomas in Hornbeam for being very worthy winners and a huge well done to everyone for taking part.  Runners up in KS2 were Lucie and Grace in Birch and Oscar in Cherry.
