Match report from theYear 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Final

EPS were represented by 3 teams in a 45 team district final at Upper Clapton rugby club. We also entered one team in an inclusion event.

It was a tale of so near yet so far!!

Our A team finished 7th in the district winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 3 games. They played hard and fair in a very difficult pool being involved in very high scoring matches. They lost 4-6 to the eventual district  champions.

Our B team came out fast, winning the first 3 games before drawing 4-4 and losing one.  They won their last match to finish 5th in their league. They actually amassed a total of 24 points in the league, missing out on a semi final place by 2 points! This amount of wins is usually good enough for a semi final place!

The C team were much improved on their first experience last week. They scored within the first 30 seconds of their first game,  setting up a 7-0 win.  They followed this up with 2 more wins to finish 3rd in their pool,  again just missing out on a semi final place by 2 points. We then managed to set up a friendly match to finish our day.
