Launch of the Epping Primary School Cross Country House Championships
The first Friday after half term, 23rd February 2018, sees the inaugural Epping Primary School Cross Country House Championships.
This is a monthly event where every child has the opportunity to represent their Sports House, be competitive, increase fitness and improve performance over time.
The event will take place on our field with each year group taking turns to compete in separate boys’ and girls’ races. Points will be awarded to every child at the finish line and added up later in the day.
Every point counts and could make a difference to the final result so it is important that every child participates and receives a sense of teamwork and achievement.
Distances run are; EYFS/YR1/2-400m, YR 3/4-600m, YR5/6-800m.
Pupils are welcome to bring in a change of sports kit to run in, but footwear needs to be appropriate for running please.
