EYFS Phonics Meeting

We are delighted to invite you to our EYFS Phonics Workshop, where we will introduce you to our phonics scheme, Little Wandle Letters and Sounds, and share how we teach phonics and early reading at our school.

The workshop is an opportunity for us to explain how your child is beginning their phonics journey and to give you practical ideas and strategies to help support their phonics and reading development at home.

During the workshop, we will:

• Introduce you to Little Wandle Letters and Sounds, our phonics programme.
• Explain how we teach phonics in EYFS and how your child is learning to recognise and blend sounds.
• Share the key terminology and approaches we use in school.
• Demonstrate how you can support your child with their phonics learning at home.
• Provide an opportunity for you to ask questions and find out more about how you can support your child.

We know that starting school and learning to read is an exciting time for children and their families. By working together, we can help your child develop a strong foundation in phonics and a love of reading.
