Reading Volunteer Feedback

After the recent Reading Volunteer Training we received some great feedback, a huge thank you to the parents/carers who are our new Reading Volunteers.  We look forward to you starting your duties in the next half term!

  • Organised sessions with appropriate and informative resources, delivered in a friendly and knowledgeable way. I feel supported and confident.  Definitely recommended!! Many thanks.

  • Great knowledge of ways to read to the pupils and report to the teacher, tools to use, language and how to make it fun and informative.  Really helped me with my own children at home too.  Thank you.

We will very shortly be looking for more reading volunteers, our goal is to have one for every class so there is a little way to go yet!  Watch this space for details of when the new training courses will be held.

A lot of the resources used in this training will make up the forthcoming Parent/carer Reading Workshop which will be a great way to learn how to help your child get the most from their reading. 

Taking parent/carer comments and feedback on board we will shortly be informing you of the date and time which we hope many of you will be able to make - watch this space again!
